The SVR units are designed to work with very wide input range at the input. The SVR uses solid state SCRs for regulating the input voltage & provide a constant regulated output voltage. SVR units are built with an isolation transformer on the input with multiple secondary winding on the output side. The input is sensed with a high speed micro controller & the respective SCRs are turned on to get the required regulation.
